The Association of Accredited Advertising Agencies of the Philippines (4As) calls on the marketing communications industry to come out boldly and play where no man has played before, as it unveils the latest batch of speakers for Ad Summit Pilipinas 2016,to be held from March 9 to 12 at the Subic Bay Exhibition and Convention Center.
Come Out and Play – theme
With its theme, “Come out and Play,” the biggest advertising and marketing convention in the country aims to inspire practitioners to progress fearlessly,as its invited industry icons prepare to participate as the Summit’s speakers.
“We have an amazing lineup awaiting Summit participants. Expect the unexpected,” said Ad Summit 2016 Chair Alex Syfu. “With our theme, we hope that the Summit allows all to view possibilities where there were none before. No obligations, just opportunities. Ad Summit Pilipinas 2016 will encourage this type of unbridled creativity to flourish,” he added.
Line-up of Speakers
Speakers participating in the event include business tycoon Manuel V. Pangilinan; award-winning director Jose Javier Reyes; AQKA Shanghai’s Eric Cruz;Vikas Gulati from Opera Media works; and leadership expert Tom Oliver.
Manuel V. Pangilinan, also known as MVP, is one of the most accomplished men in the country. Chairman of such industry behemoths as PLDT, TV5, Philex Mining, and Metro Pacific Investments Corporation, Pangilinan is a veteran of adapting to the ever-changing business climate of the Philippines.
The name Jose Javier Reyes may ring a bell. The acclaimed writer/director/actor is, after all, the mind behind films such as Kasal, Kasali, Kasalo, Pahiram ng Isang Umaga, and Batang PX. Reyes is also the owner of Available Light, the production company behind Regal Films’ Larger Than Life and Live Show.
Eric Cruz is the Executive Creative Director of AQKA Shanghai. With over 20 years of industry experience under his sleeve, he has worked, under his previous agencies, with the likes of Nike, Google, Honda, Aiwa, and Kumon. He also founded W+K Tokyo Lab, an experimental music label and creative think tank where Japanese creativity flourishes alongside the latest technologies and trends in music.
Vikas Gulati is the Managing Director for Asia of Opera Mediaworks. Gulati has held prominent management positions with accounts such as Procter & Gamble, Asia Pacific Breweries, ESPN, LG, and more, and has had over 16 years’ worth of experience in helping digital media, mobile, and ad-tech startups achieve various levels of success along the way.
Tom Oliver, on the other hand, is known all over the world for being one of the best speakers on creativity and leadership. Praised by a multitude of organizations for his capacity for inspiration and innovation, Oliver’s words are sought after by no less than the World Bank, the European Parliament, the United Nations, and the leaders of nations such as Austria and China.
The five will be joined by first-batch speakers John Mescall, McCann’s global executive creative director; Rajan Anandan, Google SEA and India’s vice president and managing director; Jose Miguel Sokoloff, Mullen Lowe Group’s president of Creative Council; and Aliza Knox, Twitter’s marketing director ofonline sales for Asia Pacific and Latin America
The Summit has also announced a discounted student rate for those wishing to take part in all that the event has to offer: students may register and join for the lowered rate of php5,500 (VAT inclusive).
